Glory be to God. I am happy to welcome you into our midst, this is GJS college. A section of Great Joy Schools purposely established to meet your yearnings to enable your ward continue his/her basic education and the senior secondary school particularly to enable you continue your basics 7 – 9 and SS 1 – 3.
In the College, we ensure that we give our students all round development system of education, our classrooms teaching does not only focus on Nigerian curriculum, we extend our curricular to meet that of British and American including Canadian Systems of education in order to expose our students to what goes on around the globe and give them the opportunity to compete with their peers all over the world. At the GJS college, our students are opportuned to sit for IGCSE, SAT and other international examinations.
We in GJS College believe our students are future leaders and to enable them be classified and stand out among their peers, we make sure that their learning environment surpass what even operates in our contemporary environment.

We have experienced and versatile Learning Managers directing and giving out their best in terms of teaching to our students. Our Learning Managers go out of their ways to ensure that the best is given to our students.
The maximum number of students in each class is twenty. Our Laboratories have been classified as almost the best if not the best in Lagos State by the officials of WAEC and Ministry of Education. The environment is welcoming, conducive and devoid of environmental pollution of any kind.
Already, the school is partnering with some Universities in U.K ,US and Canada to kick start our Degree Foundation Program (DFP) equivalent with our own Pre-degree Programs, which will give our students opportunity for a direct admission into these universities.

GUIDAINCE & COUNSELLING
We have a viable counseling unit that takes adequate care of student psychological needs. We aim to relate to you in a purposeful and supportive manner, helping you find your own way of coping with difficulties in relationships or in adjusting to anxiety, depression and decision making.
So, if your work seems to be spiraling out of control, you are unhappy or homesick, or you have a problem or compliant, there is always someone who will listen empathetically and in confidence, and will give whatever practical help needed.
We also have a process of helping students achieve self-understanding and self-direction necessary to make informed choices and move toward personal goals. We focus on the complete development of individual students through a series of services designed to maximize school learning, stimulate career development, and respond to the personal and social concerns that inhibit individual growth.

STUDENTS’ WELFARE
Great Joy schools have always given a high priority to looking after her students. Academics, social and personal supports are embedded within the structures and facilities of the school.
Like all students, you have access to academic staff who takes an interest in your general welfare as well as your academic progress.
You are entitled to have personal study advice tutor, a member of academic staff with a special responsibility for pastoral care. You can turn to them for information and practical advice. When appropriate, they can also refer you to specialist support and welfare services.
The personal study advice tutor is a specialist and he is available to see you on a one-to-one basis, to talk through any anxieties that you feel embarrassed to discuss with staff.
Our personal study advice tutors can give lots of practical advice and guidance that will save you time and help you work more efficiently but also reassure you and boost your confidence. Our friendly and approachable tutor will work with you in confidence, in any area of concern.
This is a one-time payment for the duration of the pupil’s stay in one section of the school i.e. Primary or Secondary. Funds accruable from the development levy are channeled towards the on-going physical development of the school.
This may be paid once annually or by the first week ending of each term. Annual payment of fees attract a discount.
This is an annual payment which covers the cost of exercise books, home work diaries, photocopies, stationery, recorders (Yr 1 & 7) and teaching and learning aids in the classroom.
The book rental fee is paid at the beginning of every Key Stage. All books must be returned at the end of each year. Damaged or lost books must be replaced or else reports, exam papers, awards and certificates will be withheld.
This fee covers the cost of the School Year Book for each child.
This is a fee paid per term and it covers the cost of:
Two co-curricular activities per week in the Secondary and one in the Primary.
Registration and affiliation fees to co curricular Leagues and competitions.
Payment for Facilitators/Coaches.
Costumes and uniforms are for the account of the parent and the pupil.
These fees cover events such as
This fee is paid for mid day lunch in the school by all students.
We will attempt to arrange one outing per class per term. This fee does not include visits out of Lagos or International Tours and Events. Out of Lagos and International trips are for the account of the parent.
This payment is to facilitate the activities of the Parent/Teacher Association.
Fees must be paid in full before resumption of each term. A reminder goes out in the first week of school. Pupils with outstanding fees are not allowed to remain in the classrooms after the third week of school.
Pupils in Year 6, 9 and 11 are enrolled for External Examinations set and marked by Cambridge and other examination bodies abroad. Parents will be levied for the fees once the British Council has informed the school of the set amounts. The taking of these exams is obligatory..
